would be a much
bigger chunk of work, as the mode concept is not implemented there.
Thanks again

Hi Stacho -
Wow! Many thanks! This is awsome!
I won't have a chance to actually try it until JM Begley gets this version
compiled and into his RPM repository. Compiling Therion from source has never
worked completely right for me, so I gave it up when the repository became
available.

Hi Bruce, thanks for the feedback.

Hi Bill,
we have rearranged therion metapost code in latest commits and now (using
last devel build) it should be possible to have boxed height labels just by
using following code in your layout:
code metapost
p_label_mode_height:=6;
endcode
The magic number 6 stands for boxed label. See
https:/
It could be quite simple - just to add to NSS symbol set point symbol for
height, there is no one defined yet.
Then you choose in thconfig NSS symbol set.
Try to generate symbol sets table from compiler of Therion - see Thbook.

It might be that this capability is already built into Therion.

Hi Andrew -
I think I have opened another can of unanswered questions with my original

Looking through the data.mp file from my system, I see "ATTR__height := -1" on
almost every object type including l_flowstone, l_rockborder, l_rockedge,

As I know, these labels are underlayed by map-fg colour. The construction of
such label is a bit complicated.
Martin Budaj is responsible for this part of Therion.
Passage height symbol is generated in the same way so maybe contact its author.

Hi Martin -
Now that is an interesting idea! Most of the symbols used in Missouri are
UIS, so that would serve as the starting point.
Is there any documentation on how to create an entire symbol set?
And my original question is still there ... How can I create a symbol that

The correct way could be to define “Missoury symbol set” as one of defaults for
Therion.
It should be more simple than user symbol, because it will work with contents
menus.

Hi Andrew -
I have defined several of my own symbols such as a pendant and popcorn with
hollow circles. I could easily define a custom point that would display a
square box.
But then how to get the value displayed inside the box? And how to make the
box scale according to the number of digit
Yes that is probably possible, however, using a defined symbol for
something else is probably not the right answer. Therion allows you to
define your own points.
