the thunar custom action feature. There a indeed some
differences. Is there something of in it?

We found the problem. It appears that xubuntu now follows a stricter
shell interpreter.
I had my shebang bin bash a few lines below my commends. But that is not
as the rules read. You must put #!/bin/bash at the very begin of every file.

Settings. And let xfce manage your desktop and turns that on and off it

I got an other question, is it possible to let thunar show .desktop
files with there genericname instead of the name field currenly showed?
Is there some system wide and user setting to configure this? Would also
be nice to be able to switch between real file name, genericname,

very thankful. It still is a long standing wish to fix the integration
