(the image is made with gimp and some magic) And than replace the open the parent folder button even for a button to switch between Pathbar and Toolbar Style. And then switch place with the refresh button. I believe this will improve the working experience with thunar. For example if you are in /mnt/hda3/development/projectx/cpp/ and you have selected something and copied it. And go with a shortcut in the Side Plan to /mnt/desktop and past the files there. If you are in pathbar view mode and you want to go back to the previous directory this is a lot of mouse clicks. With a simple back button in pathbar view it will be one click. What do you guys think of this? Do you know about the mouse gesture? Middle click and move to left to get Back. No, I didn't know, but I tried it and it did not work here. Noting happens. Only when I middle click a folder it will be opened in a new window. Middle clicking the mouse on thunar and move it back or right does nothing. Why does it looks awkard the screenshot doesn't look bad. Nautilus also have these functions btw. Yes and Nautilus is a mess, hence we conclude... Anyway, since we're trying to release it's not the time to mess with the basics, no matter if it's bad or not that bad at all. Found the problem with the mouse gestures, when you are in view mode: View as Detailed list then the mouse gestures don't work. Can this be fixed? So to add a few buttons in the path bar view will look bad, so you don't want to do this? But in tool bar mode it doesn't look bad? Maybe at a extra view mode like a mixed mode with the suggested changes so user can make there own choice.
