A link. E.g. When you drag a file from Desktop to TW, it will insert a link
like:
/home_folder/your_name/Desktop/abc.xxx

I would like to have a feature for adding a link by browsing the local

Does this already exist?

includes a button: link (see QuickEditLink tiddler), which provides

Hello
I've just discovered TiddlyWiki - what a weird and wonderful program!
I'd like to be able to use it to publish a 'traditional' static-html-
page-type website such that it can be found in search engines. I've
looked at the templating pages on the wiki (http://tiddlywiki.org/wiki/
Hi Dave.
Nice to see someone else knows all about my little plugin :-)
You pretty much covered all the bases I would have mentioned.

Hi Dave,
Are you using one of the TiddlyTools Quick Start documents?

Is the templating idea still being worked on
I don't think anyone is actively working on TiddlyTemplating these days.
Can I use TiddlyWeb with any old webspace that I have ftp access to or
does it require anything special?
It requires Python, so transferring static files is not sufficient.
I am using TW quite happily but I also like the idea of something like
Tiddly Backpack - http://tiddlybackpack.com/ - at 20k. It's not as
versatile as TW but the size and simplicity is useful. I can't import
or export content which is a big fault.
So does anybody know of a similar small size
TW is indeed a brilliant mini-website creator - here's mine -
www.keithrichardson.co.uk - not that mine's brilliant - just the
functionality! :)
However, there is one downside: Tiddlywikis do not get indexed very
well by Google because of all the Javascript. Google can't dig deep
into your TW.

FWIW, TiddlyWeb mostly solves this issue, as each individual tiddler is
an addressable piece of content (HTML page) visible to search engines:
Thank you for the replies. Seems like TiddlyWeb is the way to
go...except I haven't got python capabilities on the host I intend to
use. I was looking for a simple flatfile html only setup without using
php/mysql etc. Need to look further I think

Eric, I am definitely respecting your terms of use - I started with
the import/export quickstart and then imported a couple of the other
packages. I hope that I didn't somehow give the impression that I
grabbed the whole thing. IMHO - it's a lot easier to learn by doing
hands on work rather
Hi Mike, I think that I'm going to fall back to a more basic version
and reimport the encryption tiddler. Thanks for the pointers about
the ToolbarCommands tiddler.
I'll have more information this evening. Crossing my fingers.

Good Luck,
TiddlerEncrytpionPlugin works great (I use mine daily. . . for
multiple tag groups with different passwords)
The current version is fast and very stable.
:) Thanks for the great contribution Lyall !
