Thank you for sharing. Do I understand you right; instead of having to
drag-to-import multiple tiddlers, and instead of creating a plugin (or
having to know how) you propose exporting all tiddlers for a (or several)
specific features into one single JSON file. This (single) file can then be
Hi dudes,
How ripe is tiddlywiki5?
I'm about to start a new wiki, and wondering which version to use
(I have a large wiki already, based on the original version [whatever it's
called, not the 5])
Thanks

What would be the most direct way to upload my node.js-served wiki to
Tiddlyspot? Do I need to save my wiki as a single file first, before I can
successfully upload it to Tiddlyspot? Or can I somehow switch to the
appropriate saver temporarily, just for the upload?
I tried to follow the
Is there a way to import a large, multiple page PDF into tw and have it create
a tiddler for each page? The goal is to store the book page by page in tw with
one tiddler to display or link to each page.

Has this been done?
Actually it has! TobiasBeer created the intremely interesting
LinikifyPlugin for TWC after a discussion on what was termed, if I reall,
autoweaving. Do a search for LinkifyPlugin and I'm sure you'll find it or
tell me and I'll link you to it.
I found the plugin valuable

It is out of beta and new features are actively being developed for 5, so
unless you have some compelling reason to stay with classic you should
probably use the new one.

Yes this is indeed very useful, thanks for sharing.
I would see this as the preferable method for sharing addons, that way one
can build a local filesystem library that can easily be imported to new
wikis.
I would also eventually like to see the possibility to export all currently

So here's a weird one...
I just did some minor editing to a file (deleted a tiddler and a reference to
it in another) and I hit 'save changes'... and I got this:
[Exception... Component returned failure code: 0x8007000e
(NS_ERROR_OUT_OF_MEMORY)
Thanks

And how about the plugins depository?
How much of the plugins are already adjusted to 5, and how quickly are
others being adjusted?

After several months, I am now fully invested in TiddlyWiki. I was
wondering if there are any rules of thumb or best practices on keeping
content human readable while still making use of the advanced functionality
TW provides. Suggestions would be appreciated.

I am now vested in TiddlyWiki. I'm using it as a unified cross-platform
personal knowledge management (and document development) system.
Before ever coming to TiddlyWiky, when I first decided the Wiki Way was the

Excellent ! Good idea Mat and good job Jed :)
I just play with your online example, and wondering how we could limit
result in case of many tiddler with the same tag ?
Could we imagine set max tiddler and random function ?
I am working on some tools for that sort of thing, I have one for batch adding

Thanks. With all the recent discussion of importing large amounts of
information or exporting with JSONs it just struck me. Several lightbulbs
have come on recently. ;-) I had not realized how close this is to plugins

Thank you, that help me quite a bit. :-)
Unfortunately, you lost me at node.js... I guess I will have to read up on some
technical stuff.
I do need to have the TW avaible on my android tablet (at home), mostly for
reading, not editing the TW. So for now Dropbox is fine, but I'd like to have
Hi Jeremy,
just reporting back on this one -
