I have made a couple of new tiddler "buttons", but hadn't thought to look at the core functions for creating new tiddlers. I have some questions on this. [[$(CurrentTiddlerTag)$]] is in double brackets, why? Interesting idea to use the fields as the variable values, instead of shadow tiddlers

[tw] Using the tm-new-tiddler Widget

While the New Journal button is nice, it only lets one set up one Journal per TiddlyWiki. I successfully created a New Journal button in the past With Skeeve's Newtiddler Widget (thank you Skeeve). It appears that tm-new-tiddler widget in 5.17 has superceded this, unless I am mistaken. So I

table of contents are able to use transclusions in the caption field. For the simple type, the transclusions show up as the transclusion text, i.e. {{mytiddlerone!!title}}: {{mytiddlerone!!synopsis}}. This may be a bug. On Saturday, December 27, 2014 4:28:57 PM UTC-5, Jonathan Salles wrote

Jed, I didn't see a caption field in your wiki, which is what I am using to put the transclusions in. I believe I have solved my problem with an upgrade though. My wiki was 5.1.4, and I upgraded it to 5.1.7 and now the transclusions in the caption field show up properly. Unfortunately I ca

I am using the Table of Contents macro to create a table of contents of my tiddlers and am not sure if I am doing something wrong or the table of contents macro does not work as I expect it to. I am using the expandable table of contents, and do not have anything in the list field (there is one

Hi Jeremy, Thanks for the nice work (major understatement :>). Glad to see the new journal button included. Is there any reason why Ton Gerner's Customization of TW5 at http://tw5custom.tiddlyspot.com/ is not in the links anymore? If it is, forgive me for not seeing it. I am finding it ver

Hi Stephan, I finally made a whole new Create Journal with a create tiddler and skeleton tiddler. Everything worked, i.e. I was able to create a new tiddler with filled in tags and text. However, I could not add fields. When I tried to add a field with $(field1)$, I was rewarded with a Java

Hi Stephan, I finally got back to this after a hiatus, and I solved my problem. I'm not 100% sure, but I think my problem was mostly that one needs to save and then reload to get a plugin to work. If it was stated somewhere in the directions, I guess I missed that. The ones I tried with 5.0.

I have the 5.012-beta version and copied the newtiddler plugin, New Staff Meeting button and base_skeleton over to my TiddlyWiki. I tried to create a New Journal button, but when that didn't work I tried the New Staff Meeting button that was copied over. Both of these get the same result. A
