The misunderstanding here is the following: When I create a snapshot as

I'm saving a snapshot, so generating a static HTML.

I would like to have something similar but different:
The ability to export the wiki without any control, but maintaining the
interactive part of TW.

So
Hello,
For me is now working under TW 5.0.8
The only problem is the Snapshot tiddler is downloaded too, but this is
probably a minor issue.
Is normal that the html snapshot accepts no interaction in any way? I can't
find or click on link to other tiddlers. Even with those tiddlers opened.

Well Jeremy, you did pinpoint the problem !
When I swith to "classic" from "zooming", the javascript error disappears
and i can download the html print copy.
Thank you for your help!

OK, that's very helpful, and explains why I couldn't duplicate the problem.

Some progress :
- it works perfectly on tiddlywiki.com without downloading,
- it works perfectly on my computer (OSX 10.9.1) with a fresh empty beta
08. So it is not, imho, a problem with the anti-virus,
- but as soon as I transfert my tiddlers inside the empty beta, that will

But i don't see how I could deactivate it for local use (on TiidlyDesktop)
while keeping it active for internet connexions.

I'm unable to duplicate this problem, which is frustrating. I've tried:
* TiddlyDesktop 0.0.3 on OS X Mavericks
* Firefox 27 on Windows 8
* Firefox 27 on OS X Mavericks
My test procedure is:
# visit tiddlywiki.com
# create a new tiddler with the following content:

Hi Jeremy,
I'm also getting a Java Script error after pasting this into a new tiddler
in 5.0.8, both in Firefox (latest version) and in TiddlyDesktop. (Running
Windows 7)
I was also getting it in 5.0.7 but I was expecting the new release to fix
it.
Thanks
Jon.

Just to confirm, you're getting the error with an off-the-shelf 5.0.7 with
the following wikitext pasted into a new tiddler:
<$button message="tw-download-file"

I was using Firefox v.26.0
I just updated to V.27.01 : No more javascript error on tiddlywiki.com.
But the same error on my local version of TW5 (v5.0.5-beta).
... I guess I will have to update TW5 also.
Thank you Jeremy,

Thank you Jeremy,
Well , it works, ..sort of.
First I have a javascript error with the same message,
but after that, it offers to save the print out, which is perfectly
formated.
But localy on my Mac, it stops after the message, not permitting to
download anything.

Now I need to find out how to NOT print certain stuff (like the menu) or
maybe how I could provide the list of tiddlers to print.

It's actually been in TW5 for more than a year.
<$button message="tw-download-file"
param="$:/core/templates/static.template.html" class="btn-big-green">Save
snapshot {{$:/core/images/save-button}}
You can also do the same thing with the rendertiddler command under Node.js.
Best wishes
Jeremy.
In TWc we could create a "HTML snapshot" of the current story.
Am I right that this is not yet possible with TW5?
