Hi Eric,
Ha! This has been just about all we've talked about for the last 2 weeks.
;-)
The 2 choices closest to what you had before:
- BJ's save extension: https://github.com/buggyj/savetiddlers
- Mario's save extension: https://github.com/pmario/file-backups/releases
Good luck!

I copied the .jar and empty.html file to one of our servers in the office.
When i open the empty.html on IE on the hosted server, I am able to edit
and make changes that save to the empty.html file.
Note: IE uses ActiveX controls to perform local file I/O. You don't
need TiddlySaver.jar when
I'm getting this exact same error with chrome!

The problem is the new security features they've added to FF 15. Do you

One more thing - backup files are created (with the appropriate name
and timestamp), but they have a file size of 0KB and open to nothing.
So it doesn't seem like a problem with creating the file, just copying
it.

You could try the following: Import all your tiddlers into a fresh

I figured it out... and I feel very stupid. It turns out that the
encrypted disk image that I was saving my backups to ran out of space!
Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for the help. I'll keep the reset
button in mind for next time.

Update: The reason I was not able to save any changes to TW was
because I had not put in a username in the options on the right side.
Once I enter a username I was able to save changes.

Just thinking aloud, but if you have access to a server perhaps you
can save by uploading ... don't think that requires java. Possibly
even use a page at tiddlyspot if you don't have server access of your
own. Of course, that might mean your data is more exposed than you'd
like.

While I do have all sorts of server things, the beauty of TiddlyWiki is local
file access synchronized everywhere via Dropbox. If I were to do this
serverside, it would be MediaWiki, but I'd rather not have another
public-facing PHP app that I need to be conscious of security upgrades for.
I have a similar situation with Opera (plugin conflict prevents
saving). What's needed for these situations is a universal

Hi Carol,
As it sounds, if you download something from the internet *over* your
existing version, you'll likely lose the content of your actual TiddlyWiki
so I'm not sure this sounds like the best option.
Which flavor of TiddlyWiki are you using (standard, MPTW, etc) ?
Also, do you have plugins
Hi Carol,
Don't worry, it's probably something small. I have some detail questions:
