PMario,
thank you for all the links. I have to carefully ready through the examples
to understand what's going on there. So you're saying, I should go ahead
and create the five audio tiddlers (that point to an external file) and
then just display them in a list in another tiddler. This can
How is string substitution best performed for individual tiddlers content?
For example, I wish to exchange all strings "foo" for "bar", but ideally
also exchange from, and to, stuff like all [[ or {{ or " etc.

Hi Josiah,
It's done by pummelling a spreadsheet ~ it's supposed to be automated but
in practise, it takes a lot of trial and error to get the macros right. If
you had a hundred of them to do, it'd be fairly automated but you'd still
be cleaning up the input by hand.
This is the spreadsheet I
Hello,
Assuming the scenario above is not possible, then would it be possible for
an enlarged version of the image to be displayed on mousing over the small
image?. If I need to type the image address twice that's fine. Or if it can
be done using html rather than the img command then that's
I have list of tiddlers with prefix of 'Book'. I am trying to change this
prefix to 'Article'. For example,
* Book: AA
* Book: BB
* Book: CC
* Book: DD
* Book: EE
to
* Article: AA
* Article: BB
* Article: CC
* Article: DD
* Article: EE
How can I achieve
With images you're not stuck with making individual tiddlers. You can just
use [img[./external/image.jpg]] to access them. But better, I use a
modified version of Tobias Beer's set of macros so that I can change
the base path of images depending on what platform I am on. This way I can
use
Is there still a planned release soon?

By "app", do you mean andtidwiki? Loading times are somewhat faster and
performance a little better, and the formatting flows a lot better on
andtidwiki, but it still has the problem that it will sometimes "forget"
and need to reload the page. Other apps reload too -- kindle can put you on

Let's suppose several contents are displayed at the same time.
Now, I need to hide them in one click, instead of clicking on every label.
Is it possible to create a "clear" button or something that hides all the
contents ?
If the contents remain displayed when I close the tiddler, the next

Hi Richard,
In my experience, there are serious performance difficulties before 10 megs
with TW, especially on devices. So a 6 meg Bible will take 18 seconds to
load. Once it's loaded it doesn't work too bad for *reading*. Saving may
be another matter. A particular problem is that on Android
Ciao Richard S.
The spreadsheet approach makes the text easier. Was that found or did you
make it?
I'm looking at (thinking about, where i have competence) is Incremental
RegEx with arbitrary text. One of good things with RegEx is you can test
for compliance and alter next steps accordingly.
Hello All,
I'm introducing a tool I created that made my life easier, and may be
useful to some of you. Essentially, I had a huge number of tiddlers I need
to tag, and I wanted to drag the tiddler onto the tag to add it. With the
following I can do that. It can also do anything that you can
Ciao Mark & RichardWS
Good stuff! showing what can be done.
Mark, just looking at it made me realise how relatively easy it would be to
tweak further in many ways... for instance to place all STAGE: instructions
into italic or a different colour.
Richard, the depth of decomposition you go to,

Matt,
Awesome concept. I would love to use this.

So I followed these instructions and get a tiddler with

I saved and then I get "Undefined

The rawest form of the original data was 176k. The resulting TW size
difference appears to be about 780k. So only about 4x data inflation.

To everyone, I've discovered that my changes to the <$fieldmangler> widget
cause issues adding fields to tiddlers. Be aware of that until I manage to
resolve these issues.

I've resolved the issues with the <$fieldmangler> widget. Should be good
for testing now.

Hi Mark,
I agree the ios page doesn't seem to be nearly as heavy as suggested by the
slide-deck I linked to. I don't know why.
Yes - ios devices have the same annoying tendency to reload whole pages
when there is too much else going on - it seems to be getting better on the
newer devices but
