Hi,
I'm trying to use columns in a tiddler and I came across this
solutionhttps://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/TiddlyWiki/Rlp-bjJEsXgto the
problem (using custom CSS). However there's a glitch in the
solution. I found that when using custom styles to force generate a DIV,

Hi,
I'm wondering if there's a way to split a macro generated list into several
sections. I have a list of 100+ tiddlers which I want to display
effectively without having to scroll too much. Those tiddlers are already
filtered by tag. I'm wondering on how to do one or both of these
Thanks. Your suggestion works like a charm. And Malo's CSS approach is more
elegant than what I've used so far.

Eric,
Using your sample as is, with the parseInt fix, makes the buttons won't do
anything when clicked. I've checked the error console and no error listed.
However, this code is behaving strangely:

not show up.
As for what I am ...passing into the macro... I have no clue!
Thanks

Hi All,
We have tw5.1.2 installed for Node.js and with NGINX. We're using a daemon
to run the wiki out of it's own directory (/home/ncemonwiki/emonwiki) and
using SSL to access the nginx server running one the same server.
At initial connect from Chrome browser, it takes about 60 seconds to

that I'm missing. I'm wondering where tiddlywiki actually stores the
rendered html content.
Thanks again to everyone.

Hi PMario,
That's definitely not the case. I've defined this server myself
specifically for this. There is no competing load of any significance.

Did you do the import step? So import the small index.html into the server.
You could select all. ... You did a backup right?
I did do this later. But I still winder if it was really necessary.
The image files were already in the images directory.
Tiddlywiki server doesn't use the build

Thanks, again,

Thanks Mark. You;re right, it was likely the popup more than the qualify.
So, the only two difference between your and mine are:
a) I'm using a transcluded tiddler where you're passing a heading and body
text, and
b) You're in some way hashing the path with <>

If you want the edit-from-parent, insert this between $set and first
$reveal (you'll need the FontAwesome plugin for it to work):

I am trying to use TW for a complete, highly-structured outline for a
series of books.
To achieve this, I have:
- Books (volume of the series)
- Chapters
- Scenes (in the first instance, mostly one per chapter, but I want the
model to be reusable so usually more)
- Characters

figure that with the right tagging and field definitions, these should be
only mildly convoluted filter arguments.

Hi,
I've got a template that I call from the <> macro (developed based on
advice from morosanuae):
<$transclude tiddler=<> field="caption" />
<$button>
<$action-navigate $to=<> />
<$action-sendmessage $message="tm-edit-tiddler" $param=<> />
Simply put, it adds a button (with a FontAwesome
Thanks Tony. That works - all down to the syntax.

I am attempting to create a macro that, in part, sets a system tiddler
state based on behaviour.
While the basics are achievable, I need to create a different system
tiddler in each instance where the macro is used. This will depend on two
elements:
- The tiddler that the macro is used in,
Yes, that works. At least once I figured out how to properly reference
controller within the *state* and *set* attributes.
Thank you.
(Talk about convoluted syntax!)

OK, I have now got a version that actually works (slimmed down version -
mine uses FontAwesome icons and has an edit-from-controller link, too)
\define fold(content)
<$set name="controller" value={{{ [[$:/state/]addsuffix
addsuffix[/fold/]addsuffix] }}}>
<$reveal type="nomatch" state=<>
Thanks Mark S.
$(currentTiddler)$ simplified my macro.
It was the <> macro's weird behaviour that caused me to hash
things out this way - see the Any idea how to collapse/expand section
within a tiddler
Only that same edit-from-parent applied to a buttonTemplate for the
<> macro… which is no different.

I've just implemented my own macro derived from this, but it has an issue,
which turns out is present in this sample, too. Clicking anywhere on the
expandable portion of the fold collapses it down to the title.
How do I ensure that only the intended <$button> is a trigger to open/close

Here's the architecture I have in mind for this. A single TW instance will
manage one or more stories (books, novellas, etc) within a shared
environment (setting). It will manage characters, locations, objects,
storylines.
- Setting overview
- Characters
- character description
rld scenario, there's either no explanation, it's all
explained in jargon, or they are too fragile. (I spent a couple of minutes
playing with TWOutlier, in which time I managed to break it, simply by
opening a tiddler both standalone, and within the outliner at the same
time.)
