That was the reason, why I asked for the rules. I couldn't figure out,
under wich rules. it works. In one case it reacted even with accent-chars,
on others there was no reaction at all with the mix of lower and upper case
A-Z / 0-9 only…

 Hi,
 As you wrote CamelCase it's exactly that. ... It depends on when you
 started using them.

 There have been some discussions lately, if we should switch the flag
 for CamelCase links off by default. .. At the moment the rule is on by
 default.

[tw5] Re: Menu bar drop downs misplaced at right side

2021-03-06 Thread 'torax...@googlemail.com' via TiddlyWiki
Here some additional information, so far I understand it. All based on the
current git-checkout of the source-code.

The "troublemaker" is the reveal-widget in `menu.tid`, line 58:

```<$reveal type="popup" state=<> class={{{
[get[dropdown]get[class]] }}} tag="div">```
Reveal knows the positions `left`, `above`, `aboveleft`, `aboveright`,
`right`, `belowleft`, `belowright` and `below`.
But all this positions are oriented on the position in relation to the
activator-button and generating a left-aligned div-box.
Default is "below" hence the observed behavior and missing position
attribute in the command.
So my problem can't be solved with the build in options, if I assume
correct.
[tw5] Menu bar drop downs misplaced at right side
2021-03-06 Thread 'torax...@googlemail.com' via TiddlyWiki
Hi @all,
the “new” menu bar is really a bless, because now I’ve the whole screen to
operate and the wiki behaves a little bit like an application. The option
to place items on the right side via “float: right;” is also helpful. Only
annoyance is a drop down menu in this context: It is still aligned with the
left limit of the menu-item and so parts of the displayed popup-bubble is
displayed outside of the window.
[image: pic1.jpg]
While analyzing the problem I noticed, the pop-up derives its placement
coordinates from the -element. So is there a way to simple change the
placement instructions from “left” to “right”, if the style includes a
“float:right;”?
[image: pic2.jpg]
[image: pic3.jpg]
Thanks for your Input.
Cheers.
[tw5] Re: TiddlyWiki node update-issue
2021-01-01 Thread 'torax...@googlemail.com' via TiddlyWiki
okay - propabbly I figured it out. Assumed System environment is a Win10
x64 and Node.JS 15.x.
While installation Node.JS sets two path-entries:
   1. %ProgramFiles%\nodejs\
   2. %AppData%\npm
For my tests I used an account with administrator account, the terminal was
started with and without administrator privileges. (comparable with SUDO)
In both szenarios npm -g effected only the 2nd location in %AppData%\npm.
So how I managed to install a copy in %ProgramFiles%\nodejs is beyond my
imagination – I never modified the first location actively.
Windows creating the PATH-varible from two parts: The common setting and a
account-individual part. The first is prioritized over the latter, what
resulted in my observed behavior: When I tried to call tiddlywiki in the
terminal, I tried to execute %appData%\npm\tiddlywiki.cmd, but ran in
effect %ProgramFiles%\nodejs\tiddlywiki.cmd. And in addition the command npm
-g update … never reached this location…
I cleand up the mess by
   1. stopping all node.js-instances
   2. uninstalling Node.js
   3. deleting
  1. %ProgramFiles%\nodejs
  2. %AppData%\npm
  3. %AppData%\npm-cache
  [an old version of the cache? Wasn't recreated after re-installation]
  4. %LocalAppData%\npm-cache
   4. reinstalling Node.js
   5. reinstalling node.js-Modules with npm -g at the right location
   (inclusive tiddlywiki)
So far I recognize there were no entries in the Windows registry.
Hope, this helpes someone else. It was definitely not an issue of
Tiddlywiki rather a possible wrong use npm…
 Hi Torax,
 I had the same issue as you and fixed it with:
 *sudo* npm -g update tiddlywiki
 sudo systemctl restart tiddlywiki
 and then refresh your tiddlywiki page in your browser.
 Hi,
 Can you try: tiddlywiki --version in the command line?
 Then you need to _restart_ your server. ... The control panel should
 change now.
[tw5] Re: TiddlyWiki node update-issue
2021-01-01 Thread 'torax...@googlemail.com' via TiddlyWiki
Hi PMario and duche,
thanks for the try. I forgot to mention, I am working with Windows. So SUDO
won't work in the way, you expect. ;)
I fiddled around with the whole stuff and found following situation:
npm -g install tiddlywiki and npm -g update tiddlywiki installing the
correct version (5.1.23) in the common repository beneath %appdata%\npm.
Jumping into the directory %appdata%\npm\node-modules\tiddlywiki and
executing node tiddlywiki --version starts the correct version 5.1.23.
A call via tiddlywiki --version displayes the version 5.1.22.
Also an update as administrator (equivalent to sudo ...) doesn't change
anything.
I even created a VM with a virgin Windows 10 and tested – it was instantly
installed and executed tiddlywiki 5.1.23.
So far my testing.
I just uninstalled tiddlywiki via npm - g uninstall tiddlywiki from the
system, but tiddlywiki --version still executes with return 5.1.22 – so
there must be another installation place for node-stuff and NPM-repository.
I now start to dive into the filesystem and variables. (PATH and so on.
I'll keep you informed about my progress and would appreciate further
hints. Bacause there seems to exist a similar "bug" for Linux, maybe this
could be an addition to the tiddlywiki-article for
https://tiddlywiki.com/#Upgrading%20TiddlyWiki%20on%20Node.js .
[tw5] Re: Open tiddler in new window from menubar-link
2020-12-07 Thread 'torax...@googlemail.com' via TiddlyWiki
Hi.
after reading my text I am surprised to get any hint at all. Thanks Tones.
The problem description now in a proper way:
Normally you create a tiddler, tag it with "$:/tags/MenuBar", put in the
caption the display text and in target the title of the targeted tiddler.
And after clicking, the target-tiddler is opened in the stream.
My goal was to open the tiddler in a new window like with the "open in new
window"-button.
Unfortunately it is not well descripted in the plugin-description, but
Tones hinted me onto the right path. Maybe that can be included into the
readme of the plugin - of cource better phrased.
Creating customized menu-entry:
   1. create tiddler
   2. tag it with $:/tags/MenuBar
   3. prepare the tiddler as usual as a menu-bar-item
   4. DON'T set the target field
   5. instead pace in the text-field a $button-widget with wished action.
   6. in the $button-widget place the Menu-Item-"text" - it can be a
   picture or a text - what ever suites
   7. set the field custom-menu-content with {{!!text}}
My tiddler looks like this in JSON:
[
{
"title":"openTargetNewWindow",
"bag":"default",
"type":"text/vnd.tiddlywiki",
"tags":"$:/tags/MenuBar",
"caption":"menu text",
"custom-menu-content":"{{!!text}}",
"text":"<$button message=\"tm-open-window\"
param=\"targettiddler\">menu text"
}
]
Maybe it is better to set custom-menu-content with a transclusion of the
tiddler itself ({{openTargetNewWindow}}) like done in
$:/plugins/tiddlywiki/menubar/items/hamburger instead of using {{!!text}}.
but it works – at the moment.
Hope, this helps someone else.
Cheers
ToraxMalu
[tw5] Open tiddler in new window from menubar-link
2020-12-06 Thread 'torax...@googlemail.com' via TiddlyWiki
Hi,
I try to call a tiddler from menu-bar via a link-tiddler, but can’t figure
out how. See someone a solution? With a normal $button-widget the
construction would be:
<$button message="tm-open-window" param="target">target
Thank you.
Cheers
