Re: [tw5] Re: Redesign of the edittemplate area: an unfinished prototype

2020-05-21 Thread Anders Jonsson
Hmmm; with _only_ "tc-popup-keep" I also get that, but with _both_ classes
it stays open and looks as it should (Win10, both Chrome and Firefox)...

This works for me:
<$reveal type="popup" state="$:/SamplePopupState" class="tc-popup-keep">

...code...

Or this:
<$reveal type="popup" state="$:/SamplePopupState" class="tc-popup-keep
tc-drop-down">
...code...

But, maybe there's some browser/OS strangeness...

2020-05-21 Thread Anders Jonsson
Just wanted to chime in to say that this is an excellent addition to the
editemplate, one I will most definitely use.

(And with regards to making the popup persist: adding the "tc-popup-keep"
as a class in the reveal works perfectly for me already in 5.1.22...)

It has been updated AFTER my executables got erased, and this version has not

2020-05-02 Thread Anders Jonsson
Ummm, sorry about all this: thought I had properly reinstalled both
extension and backend before posting...

The timimi executables were missing from both Timimi-Firefox and
Timimi-Chrome folders. After reinstalling backend again, executables now
are where they should be, and everything is working perfectly, as expected.

Hi...

Not sure if there is a problem with Timimi 2.1.3 or if I (by mysterious
accident) have managed to change something else that is relevant for TW
saving...
Earlier versions of Timimi has worked perfectly for me. Today I upgraded to
the 2.1.3 version, and saving has stopped working...

I'm on Windows 10. In Firefox (v75.0) I get the message "Timimi save FAILED
Error: Attempt to postMessage on disconnected port". In Chrome (v81.0) it
seems as if saving is successful, but when reopening a "saved" TW5 file
changes are not there.

Re: [tw] Re: Testers needed for TiddlyServer

2017-10-23 Thread Anders Jonsson
Hi!

Using the 2.0.8-nexe I get the following message when the 412 error occurs
(which for me is after something like 40-50 auto-saves):

412 ifmatch "1125899906846851-2837220-150873772"
412 etag "1125899906846851-2837220-1508737721000"
412 caused by difference in modified

(Regarding antivirus programs I get the error with "normal" settings, but
so far I haven't been able to produce this error when _testing_ with
"real-time protection" completely turned off...)

I keep my TWs on an internal drive.

But that reminds me that I have them stored in my Dropbox folder, and wondering

Re: [tw] Re: Testers needed for TiddlyServer

2017-10-11 Thread Anders Jonsson
I will chime in to say that I’ve also had plenty of this 412/RSOD problem (and
I’m relying on equal measures of manual saves and autosaves; win10, FF56,
TW5.1.14)...

1. White box stating ”Error while saving: XMLHttpRequest error code: 412”
2. The big, red ”embarrasment” box stating ”TypeError: xhr is undefined”
(3. In the TiddlyServer window the 412 code is given for the last PUT)
4. Generally no saving possible afterwards without reloading the tiddlywiki
(thereby losing any changes since last successful save), but sometimes I’ve
found that the problem ”goes away” by itself after me waiting a while, meaning
that I can once again start saving normally without having to reload...

[tw] Re: [TW5] Is MagicTabs still in active development??

2015-07-21 Thread Anders Jonsson
I have tried it, and it is indeed a _great_ piece of work, that stands
solidly on its own. As far as I can tell the latest iteration of the
Common Plugin still works in TW 5.1.9...

What felt slightly irking when I tried it out more thoroughly early this
spring was (for the purposes of my project) that small parts of it felt
unfinished, parts of it I didn't need, and I found myself tinkering a
little too much with layout and details to feel comfortable with all the
liberties I was taking. (Hence my rather brazen follow-up question about
the possibilities of adapting what is there...)

Alberto did a great job, and it is very sad to see that it is not under

 the latest version of TW

[tw] [TW5] Is MagicTabs still in active development??

2015-07-18 Thread Anders Jonsson
Hello everyone, delurking for a first post here...

I tinkered a little with TWC some years back, followed the development of
TW5 with great interest during the fall of last year, and since the release
of 5.1.7 I have been using TW5 with great enthusiasm. TiddlyWiki has proven
to be extremely useful, and since I sometimes have found it hard to wrap my
head around its inner workings, it has always been good knowing that one
can turn to the TW community for help and examples.

Back in January I found the MagicTabs Plugins by Alberto Molina
(http://magictabs.tiddlyspot.com/), and I would very much like to use at
least parts of them for a TiddlyWiki project of mine... But the tiddlyspot
page has seemingly not been updated for the last five months, and still
says the plugins are a work in progress (beta software), which makes me
wonder if these plugins are still in development or if they have been
abandoned?? @Alberto? Or does anyone else know?

And if the plugins ARE abandoned, my related questions would be: could I
use what is already there and tailor it to suit my needs, and what would
then be the proper way of crediting Alberto? (Of course, giving credit
where credit is due, but I'm not a developer and hence very unsure about
proper protocol in a case like this...)
