Sorry for the delay. Here's what I found

div style=display:noneimg src=http://tiddlyspot.com/_ts/stats/
tiddlyfolio//div
!--TCEJNI_TOPSYLDDIT--

!--TIDDLYSPOT_INJECT--
script src=http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js; type=text/

I removed these with editpad lite.

I uninstalled the Skype web add-on for Firefox, but not Skype itself
(v4.1) and, presto, the problem is gone.

[tw] Re: Firefox 3.5.1 hangs Tiddly

2009-07-25 Thread AlanBCohen

Xmarks is the only one fromPaul's list I'm using; I have it on all my
machines (except for my VM's), but the problem seems to be isolated to
the individual TW file and machine. I can redownload a new blank TW
and use it on the same machine, even in the same session. Sometimes,
I can import my tiddlers from the problem file and continue, sometimes
not. I'm thinking it might be a corruption that creaps in from an
interaction between some plugins, but I haven't been able to find it
(I'm just a Javascript noobie).
I'm using the following plugins:
CalendarPlugin
DataTidderPlugin (Installed but not being referenced)
DatePlugin
ForEachTiddlerPlugin
InlineJavascriptPlugin
InstantTimestampPlugin
LaunchApplicationPlugin
QuickEditPackage
A file may be fine for a while, then stop working, so some type of
corruption may have something to do with it. But what?

PJO, can you post the text strings you found that might be a problem
so the rest of us can look for them?

2009-07-25 Thread Paul Truzzi

I removed skype too and it seems at first blush, that things work again. One
site that just refused to load was
ToddlyTools. It is slow, but loads and seems to function. So Skype seemed to
be at least part of the problem

[tw] Re: Firefox 3.5.1 hangs Tiddly

2009-07-20 Thread PJO

My wife's copy of TiddlyFolio (http://tiddlyfolio.tiddlyspot.com) had
all kinds of problems with Firefox after the 3.5.1 upgrade.

In the course of looking at it I found that it was opening a one pixel
beacon on TiddlySpot and signalling to Googleanalytics.com also --
code for both of which was added at TiddlySpot without my having
noticed before. Excising these with Editpad Lite didn't solve the
problem, nor did a clean install of Firefox.

She was able to get by with IE8 though the embedded graphics still
don't display the wiki functions.

I have not had the same problem on my computer with Firefox 3.5.1 even
with the same tiddlyfolio file, so suspect that the problem lies in
java or some other difference between our systems which I haven't had
time to investigate yet.

2009-07-20 Thread AlanBCohen

I'm having problems with not being able to close a new tiddler,
regardless if I have autosave on or off. I can cancel out so I
haven't lost access to existing tiddlers, just updating or adding.
This is on PCLOS Linux, fully updated and TW2.5.2.
