I tried this briefly on a digital scope and it looked a bit iffy. Maybe it's

I don't think I would use the XY output, but I'm sure that this tilted
and overlaid text is not correct.

The SR620 has a Z80 dedicated to update the X/Y DACs. For some trimmings
it really helps.
The SR620 is a mix of a relatively flexible counter, yet it has some
limits, which can be annoying for some measurements. In the end I kind
of like it.

The SR620 X/Y feature is extremely valuable for my time lab. You probably need
to rethink the feature after setting up a nice X/Y display and experimenting
with the different display features. I use an Rb and distribution amp for my
lab 10MHz standard which feeds the external ref input
