[time-nuts] What is maximum digits that can SR620 display?

2015-07-21 Thread Hui Zhang
Dear Group: I have a SR620 Universal Time Interval Counter, I know it has a 16 digit LSD, my question is can these all 16 digit displayed in same time? I have tried feed it with 1Ghz frequency, or just feed 1Mhz frequency by pressing both the up and down arrow keys together toggles the

Alex - are you referring to the test of eloran in progress from Wildwood NJ? That of course is on 100 Khz. There is no Loran in California at this time. 73, Bill, WA2DVU Cape May -Original Message- From: time-nuts [mailto:time-nuts-boun...@febo.com] On Behalf Of Alex Pummer Sent:

Hello Max: I use a SMA Coax attenuator to connect my GPSDO/Rb Stand with the EXT Ref port of other equipment, the GPSDO/Rb often provides +7 ~ +13dBm output level, I believe it's too high for a EXT ref source, so I often use a 10dB attenuator to put it there, actually I like use another 10

Max I believe the inputs far more flexible then the limit suggested. Typically the low level is the issue. In the spec sheet I see it says .15V. If you had a 10 db anttenuator that would be a good start. The good news is it sounds like you have enough signal to drive both things pretty easily.

Several answers I am located in boston ma How do I know its the 3586. All other systems are working and not failing. Using the same austron 2100 with another stable reference source has no problem. Alex there is only 1 station on the east coast the gri is 89700. But simply tune the 3586 to 100

Try the Time Interval mode of the SR620: maybe that mode can fill up the 16digit display... the interesting feature of the SR620 is the 25ps single shot resolution not the 16digit display to be filled up. The SR620 is an 11 digits per second counter (at 25ps resolution) or 12 digits in 10 seconds

Hi Alex, 100 Khz is not protected however the interference from SMPS is annoying but will not bother loran transmissions as it is much stronger than that interference. 73, Bill, WA2DVU -Original Message- From: time-nuts [mailto:time-nuts-boun...@febo.com] On Behalf Of Alex Pummer Sent:
