If you have a square wave at .5PPS and you connect a large series capacitor to
the coil of a quartz clock
(less battery) you get alternating seconds pulses drive to an analogue dial.
50 ohms will easily drive the about 1k coil.
Cheap quartz clocks make good slaves.

Hi
If these are like the previous gear from the same designer, the parts (like the
OCXO)
that go in will vary quite a bit. In the past they seemed to be built by a wide
range of

If there is any ID on the OCXO, it’s probably worth passing
A user on EEVBLOG asked his FA2 seller about the low pass filter. It is
apparently 150 kHz.

I believe it's a CDMA thing. I have a Nortel GPSTM that came out of CDMA site.
It has the same thing.

Impulse stepper clocks. Though I will say a bit odd in that normally there
are two outputs.
Essentially even odd seconds across the stepper motor.

I can't speak for 1/2PPS, but at the Arecibo Observatory we distributed
1PPS with every
10th second's pulse stretched to about twice the duration of the others. I
did find that to
be kind of handy every now and then, when troubleshooting things.

I did a test of the FA2 internal OCXO oscillator. The FA2 uses this as the
reference if you don't connect an external reference. You can adjust the
oscillator frequency with a small pot on the back panel. As shipped the
oscillator was 0.10 Hz off. I adjusted to be within 0.003 Hz (I didn't

I'm working at Meinberg, and I could see what I can do for you.
