I have read up enough on the dot language (which wasn't much) to know it
probably just takes describing the style of nodes differently, possibly
to reflect that the 'unit' is an interface, configuration or module.
I/we are using tinyos-1.x; is it the same

I believe make [platform] docs generates gifs of the diagrams
which are squirreled away in ../doc/nesdoc/[platform]
What do you mean by style though? The Graphviz dot program
is what does the dirtywork. Look for some doc on that toolset,
I know there's a rudimentary editor for .dot files.
