Since you are the VOTE proponent, could you take a look at my previous
suggestion:
- having a "tomcat-bugs" mailing list;
- having a _daily digest_ to "tomcat-dev" (which should refer the
existence of the bugs list).
It was made clear along this discussion that BUG messages

there's a couple reasons i'd like to see notifications sent to tomcat-dev:
1) i might be able to (help) fix the bug
2) the bug may affect me, and i don't even know it (yet)
and, of course, i'm just plain nosy :)
