No, this breaks the spec. There are many other simple alternatives. Please
follow up to the tomcat-user list for more information.

I have a need to passivate HttpSessions on a more aggressive basis than
that of timing them out.
Default behavior is to time out a sessions after 30 minutes of
inactivity -- which is fine.
Rather I need to be able to passivate sessions to disk after say 10-15
minutes or rather passivate all

It appears to have what I need/want except for one
i notice in the 5.0.30 code, this bug may also exist since the web.xml is 2.4,
although I have not tested. was this patched to the 5.0.30 also?
