I had the same Problem.
I'll forward you the answer which helped me ...
Hi Christian,
Sorry it tool so long to reply.
Yes I have installed mod_webapp correctly.
The biggest problem is the fact that hp-ux
does not keep zero length string in the shell memory. the configure script
script
Well,
to me it looks also like a bug in tomcat
if a file index.html exists in https://intra.home.de/examples/ (an delployed
Application) and it contains a line META HTTP-EQUIV=refresh CONTENT=0;
URL=servlet/myapp or META HTTP-EQUIV=refresh CONTENT=0;
?

LoadModule dir_module path-to-apache
Hi
I have a problem with my configuration of tomcat connected to apache (with
mod_ssl) via mod_webapp
Apache is configured to listen to Port 80 and 443,
connecting to
https://intra.home.de/examples gives an '404 not found' (Why that ? this
worked with apache an JRun)
switch to https you told the
browser to do it :)
The port 443 is the port for https. But as you tell
the browser to use http it's trying to talk http
to the https port. (Have a close look at the leading
http://)

contains a base tag ?
(If a redirect happens you should see a different URL in the
location bar of the browser)
As I'm not using tomcat, I can't verify this on my own.
