I found that a big tricky as well. It took a little guesswork, but the
name of the module has been changed- instead of jk_module, it should
be named jk2_module. If you make that change in your httpd.conf, you

I am having problems starting Tomcat on my machine.
I have tried both 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 binary installations (setting
CATALINA_HOME appropriately) without success. Here is what I see in
either case:

In the first case, it looks to me like tomcat should have been started -- these are
the normal messages.
Try to connect to :8080/http://localhost:8080 with your browser.
If tomcat is up, it should present you with the default page.
