I'm upgrating to tomcat 4.0.3 from 3.2.1, I placed my application into
/webapps but when tomcat compiles my jsp pages it can't find classes I have
imported in my jsp page.
error:
===
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSPNote:
sun.tools.javac.Main has been deprecated.

notfound.
try using a WEB-INF directory in your app.

- Are you using tomcat with Apache ? or just tomcat ?
- is the DNS www.xxx.net pointing to the server where you run tomcat (apache
?)
What's up? Is it because maybe it's impossible to have
two webapps of the same context name on different virtual hosts from the
same container?
If you try
I just move to 4.0.3 too, and in my case (I have windows 2000), I needed to
capitalize WEB-INF for tomcat 4 to be able to find my classes. I was
wondering if you might have the same problem.

If you are in a Windows environment, make sure your /WEB-INF directory is in
uppercase. Tomcat 4 works different as Tomcat 3 regarding this.
