AW: PLEASE REMOVE THE VIRUS BEFORE MAILING THE LIST...

2002-01-31 Thread Ralph Einfeldt

That's a matter of taste.

I use this form when I want to adress special
parts of the original post. This makes it easier
to create correlations between the contents.
But I use this form not often. The normal case is
like this reply.

Realy confusing is this style if you can't
separate the original post from the reply
because the lines of the original post are
not prefixed.

One thing that does irritate me is when people put their
reply to a message -within- the message - I've missed
important info because of this! Example:

- There is already an open anti virus project:
  http://www.openantivirus.org
- I don't think that an anti virus software is needed
- I think the list could be improved by the following:
  - only allow special kinds of attachments
(zip, text, v-card, images)
with the given community it makes not much sense
to allow any attachment.
  - don't accept mails with no from header

So, is an open-source Anti-Virus project (perhaps at Jakarta)
 self-defeating? ;)
