A related issue is that frequencies ending in 0 and 5 tend to attract casual operators who can't hear DX. Many times I have heard them start up and call CQ on top of DX. I like to choose a frequency ending in 2.5 to avoid the casual ops. On the high end of 40, this neatly avoids BCB stations,
