It's being worked on right now. In a perfect world all of the wheels of

FWIW, I've had a pre-order with Crutchfield since November. Today the
order status has gone from preorder to backorder.

There are now lots of options for streaming music from a computer or
directly from a hard drive, so this is a very timely question.
I originally purchased an SB3 in 2006 primarily for its Internet radio
abilities. But I also experimented with using Slimserver (now
Squeezeserver) to stream FLAC
I think this latest confusion is just because they were trying to get it
out as soon as they could. Right after 7.5 was done, someone pushed the
go button and didn't tell everyone in the chain. They never really
had a release date, which is why I found another solution, but I think
this one came
More questions, TIA, once again:
1) Does the SB server software enable a person to access playlists
(i.e., actually just links to tracks) in a music service such as MOG?
I do not use Rhapsody/Napster, and would like to continue to use MOG as
most of the tracks stream at 320kbps, a few at 256.

vertical fanless case; they are silent and inexpensive. I've been
ripping to one for several months and it's worked perfectly.

The incorrect Out of Stock message when buying a Squeezebox Touch from
US and Canada Logitech.com web sites has been fixed. As I suspected,
it's a computer glitch. Took a few hours to get it resolved.
I've not been able to help out with the Out of Stock message on the

Those are 2 good questions. Most current model external drives seem to
be 1TB and up. Lacie models seem to be well-regarded and also look
pretty.

Plugging headphones into the headphone jack does not turn off anything
else. You can have headphones, analog out and digital out all running
simultaneously.
The one thing you can't do is have separate volumes between them, the
headphones get the same volume as the analog outs.
