According to the latest revision of the compatibility list the Amanero
OEM board does not work over the USB interface. Can anybody confirm this
'cause I have an earlier copy of the list saying that it does in deed
work with USB?

I assume you are using an external HHD directly attached to the USB port
of the Touch to play local music files stored on the HDD ? What I
would try is to press in the tiny pin on the back of the Touch which
will then bring up a screen telling you Factory Settings have been

I assumed that if I could electricity down a USB cable (eg, to charge my
phone or iPod)
I've been using the same USB HD for over a year now with little
problems. But for some reason I get a message"my squeezebox server has
stop" Ive tried rebooting and wiping and re-scanning to no avail. Is
there anything else i can try? Thanks

yeah, I have no clue about how USB speakers work, but agree it seems odd
to want to connect USB speakers to a TOUCH, unless there's some sort o

Not necessarily. A lot of USB "computer speakers" use the DAC on the
computer's sound card.
