Thanks for the troubleshooting suggestions, guys, and sorry I didn't
revisit this thread sooner. The problem was the DAC in the NAD T754
receiver. It is supposed to handle 24/96, but for some reason it
doesn't. I took the Touch to a friend's house and 24/96 worked fine
sent to his DAC. I ended
adamg, I think you're getting a little confused with your available
options.
If you want to use the Touch's built-in server (TinyLMS) then you should
attach the USB drive to the Touch's USB port, not to your router's USB
port. It's technically possible to get the Touch's server to see a NAS

LMS runs great on linux, all my SB servers I've ever had have been on
some form of linux.
Are you looking to get a general purpose machine that runs linux to do
other standard tasks as well as running LMS or do you want a machine
that just runs LMS?

Hi
simple sily answer
N O you didnt wanna do that.
remember a router is a part of your security system - adding 3rd party
Software like LMS or something adds the security holes from these 3rd
party apps directly to your router. so you dont wanna do that.
And - a router is designed as a lowcost
I have just installed a new Netgear N900 router which can be used to

Depends on what you're trying to do. If I didn't need Quicken and
didn't strongly prefer CoolEdit2000 over Audacity, I probably wouldn't
need Windows at all.

Sooner or later, I either have to replace my XP laptops & PC...or maybe
ditch Windows altogether.
How well does Ubuntu work as a replacement for Windows? And how well
does it work with the Touch?
Thanks!

Hi yeomanspc,
saving electricity wasn't what I was looking for. ;-)
I was more thinking of saving one spot in my power cord.
I might get an external Psu which has an extra 5v 1A out. So I thought I
could use this for powering up the touch.
But that won't work out as mentioned in this thread b
