remember a router is a part of your security system - adding 3rd party Software like LMS or something adds the security holes from these 3rd party apps directly to your router. so you dont wanna do that. And - a router is designed as a lowcost system that acts primarly as a router (otherwise the router manufactuer would ask for some more money and sell it as consumer pc - some routers have 256 mb Ram some have 512 and even 512 is a bit 2 small for a LMS Server) Even if a Hacker (the real Version of a Hacker - that wants just "hack" a system to show or use it cause he wants it therefor) may can do this - its not for the other ones (eg. a non geek) Remember i just talking about real Hackers not these scriptkiddies or Cracker (most people know there is a big difference between these groups and called all "geeks" hacker. buy a raspi or a wandboard and use that as a LMS - didnt need much power - you also can power the raspi from the usb port of your router (if t+it has a usb port for a disk) But dont think a Pi is a fast Server - if you find out its not buy some usb dac an use the pi as a player.
