Start with amp volume at zero, touch volume at 100%, increase amp volume
to normal listening level. Then use touch to control volume.

Unless the inputs on the Dayton are hyper-sensitive (which apparently
they aren't or you would have noticed) then that's the way to go. The
analog outputs on the Touch -- and all SB models, really -- have
voltages that are pretty much comparable to other sources such as CD
players or tape decks.

I have been using my Touch + EDO together with a Classé CP-800
preamp/processor with great satisfaction for more than a year. This
week, I had my CP-800 upgraded to the latest model which carries new
electronics and as a result provides a few more capabilities such as
playback of 96 Khz music

Many thanks for your prompt response, John.
I did as you described (except for replacing the first reboot by
unplugging/plugging the power as I don't know how to reboot the Touch).
Unfortunately the issue remains the same meaning that after the
procedure the Touch plays absolutely fine.
Hi, this is my first post on this forum. So be gentle with me. ;)
Just bought a used SBT and is more than satisfied with it. But I have
some problems with EDO and my external DAC. My DAC (or streamer

with digital USB. The
You need to load drivers onto a computer to work with the N-50.
The Touch is native Linux, which the N-50 doesn't understand.
Stick to the coax SPDIF.

My mistake - there aren't any drivers required for Macs.
The SPDIF coaxial passes 24/192 files with no problems.

Yes I know the SBT was not supposed to do digital out throu USB. And yes
it's a nice thing to do this work without payment. (thanks Triode) Thats
very often the case when developing opensource stuff. I myself was

Just installed the Kernel updated to see if EDO can work with my
Esoteric K-03, which I hope would work similarly to Teac's lower end
DAC's which also seem to use Tenor chips (To work with a PC, the
Esoteric needs drivers which says Galaxy Far East something, which leads
me to think that it
