So the Touch was updated to 7.8.0 and runs with your LMS 8.0?
Then you can now deinstall the 7.7.6 from your Laptop to avoid

Install LMS >= 7.7.6 somewhere and let the 7.7.3 Touch connect to it.
You should get the offer to upgrade to Firmware 7.8.0. Afterwards
reconnect it to your ordinary LMS 8.0.0. all should be fine then.

I tried with my Boom and got Connect time out either. But when
connected to LMS my Boom has access to the Favorites even on mysbc.
The german guy got Ping not ok on diagnostics, by the way.

Every Squeezebox needs a server to be connected with. That server also
controls the SqueezeBox. There is a Server from Logitech on
mysqueezebox.com (mysbc) , which you're using , I think.

Du brauchst eben einen Server, mit dem die Touch arbeiten kann. Den gibt
es, nennt sich Logitech Mediaserver (LMS) und läuft eben auf einem
(Mini-)Rechner. Und der LMS kann eben die Touch mit Spotify versorgen.
Dafür gibt es dann das Spotty-Plugin.

Firmware on the SBT depends on Firmware coming with SqueezeServer (now:
Logitech MediaServer - LMS). There actual is a brandnew 7.9.0 stable LMS
on downloads.slimdevices.com. Have a look.
24/192 could be achieved somehow, but as I don't need it I don't know
how.

Okay, do you have PC or so on which you could install a 7.8.1 or nightly
7.9 LMS temporarily? Then connect your Touch to that LMS an update it.
Should work.
If not there is a way to Update via USB but I don't find the Thread here
hence I'm using Tapatalk right now.
Did you have an account on mysqueezebox.com. If so connect your Touch to
it and repeat the update process.

OP seems indeed running the server on the SBT itself.
Concerning his problems with Napster I'm also clueless. Now that you
mentioned it.
Tiny SB should be the Touch server. No go means that it doesn't work
since the latest changes coming from rhapsody.

You have to configure them under
Code:
Settings-Advanced-Beta-Shortcuts
to behave as you want, i.e. storing (presshold) and recalling up to 6
favorite stations or tracks.
I hope that helped a little more.

Press and hold the Buttons 1 to 6. This will store the actual running
stuft as preset in the appropriate Number. That's All I know about it.
