I have a small old iPad that I suppose I could use for music. I'll look

For your external drive. A lot of times it's just the cradle that is
belly up. Purchasing an empty Harddisk cradle with USB connection and
transfer harddisk into that cradle and if you're lucky you're able to
access the files again.

I've been gone forever. Well, my Squeezebox Touch has been idle
forever due to PC issues. Almost 3/4 of a TB of tunes was on my old
hard-drive and external. Both shat the bed. So, I gleefully tossed my
old PC into the garbage, bought a desk top MAC and spent weeks
re-burning all my discs. S
