I now switched back to google wifi and everything works perfectly! I
also have a SQT that always have weak connection so I set up one Nest
wifi router as a point and put it close to the SQT. And the SQT won't
connect to LMS through the Nest Wifi even though it is set up as an
access point. There

You only need to change settings for 2.4GHz .
Disable the features that make them incompatible such as 40MHz Channel

I have similar problem. After I replaced the Google Wifi with the newer
Nest Wifi system, my squeezebox touch refuse to connect to LMS (or the
mysqueezebox.com). And I have 2 SBTs. Interesting thing is the older
squeezebox classic works perfectly. Only my 2 SBTs won't connect to the
LMS. Sometime

One of the problems I have noticed is the Squeezebox devices do not seem
to like Channel 6, or at least don't on my Unifi Access Points. Just had
this with a previously working Boom. I ran the Unifi AP AI function

bpa,
I doubt my absence constituted a "cliffhanger" but I thought you
deserved an update all the same. After a couple of factory resets of the
router, followed by unsuccessful attempts to set up the Touch, I threw
in the towel on the Touch.
I now have a Squeezebox Radio and 2 raspberry pi devi

I had one of these - they have a Auto Uplink feature which learns where
the up link is - IIRC in practice this means while unit is powered on

bpa,
I see you were referring to the router's isolation mode, not the

What I wrote about the rpis was misleading. They are not running LMS,
they are accessing the LMS that resides on the Vortexbox.

The implication of the Wireless setup is Wifi is OK and DHCP is OK.
DHCP supplies the DNS address but lookup of mysqueezebox.com address
fails.
Is the router acting properly relaying DNS requests ?
Is Touch being blocked from internet access ?

There are two perspectives - Touch may see LMS but LMS may not see
Touch.

That tells me that the TOUCH is not talking to your local network or the
internet in general. I suspect something minor is wrong. Have you done
a factory reset of the TOUCH and
garym,
Thanks for your reply.
Yep, the Vortexbox is connected via ethernet to my local network. After
a factory reset of the Touch, it connects to the local network with no
problem. (I had changed the SSIS and password, so maybe that caused a
problem.)
It's true that the old router used 192.16

Sorry Steve, no idea.
I have never fancied messing with Vortexbox, for the same reason I'm
ignoring Mesh routers. :p
If you search the forum you will find posts with regard to both, good
luck.
I suggested the router thing, as that should not cost any money and
_may_ work.

ronnie and slartbartfast, many thanks for your attention and useful
advice.
I think I could manage the process described in the link you provided,
ronnie, particularly given the fact that my old, replaced router is a
Linksys WRT54GL v1.1 on which I had already installed DD-WRT some time
ago.

Think so, and looking at the specs, one can't split the bands (speaking
as a network numpty).
I think it has to be Ethernet connection or maybe a cheapo wireless
bridge, or use the old r

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm a novice about routers, but I don't
think it's dual band.

Is the new router dual band ?
If so, split the two bands with a SSID for each band.
you will just need b,g,n
It might help others, if you give the model of the router and which
country you are in, ISP might also help.
Hi.
I recently replaced my router, which might account for this problem: I
can wirelessly access the LMS server (which resides on a Vortexbox
appliance) with 2 raspberry pi devices and a couple of Google Chrome
Audio devices but, try as I might, my SB Touch cannot connect to the
Vortexbox.
