Yes, it will work as normal (except providing USB output and 24/192 out
on both USB and S/PDIF).

Re. your point 5: I'm am a skeptic about digital
USB support for the Touch indeed is an interesting topic, thanks to
Touch for bringing it to life, yet it is surprising to find 135 pages of
information and questions. I worry about having to read all of it. Is
there a summary somewhere that I could read instead?

That didn't work (adding a new line to the root crontab) ... rebooting
the device didn't either.

NAS time is good

... Only the Touch is

crontab -l ... now replies:
crontab: can't open 'root': No such file or directory
... I suppose I just didn't create a crontab yet (with crontab -e ...)

during Easter I worked on in on-and-off.
First hurdle was to install putty on the Windows 7 laptop computer.
Second was to go into the Touch Settings - Advanced - and enable Remote

Sorry, I have no idea whether the DAC in the oppo will work with the USB
out from the TOUCH (with EDO).

can always connect the S/PDIF coax output from the TOUCH to the S/PDIF
