Rather than buying a Raspberry Pi or another laptop, I bought a refurb IBM desktop PC and am running Spotty/LMS on that (came with Windows 10). Issues resolved! Just this week, no matter what I do, I get an error message telling me that Spotify timed out trying to connect. AFAIK none of the old Spotify implementations would work any more (reliably). Do I need the Spotty app instead? Yes, that's the way to go. I'm running the server on an ancient laptop with Windows XP - is that the issue? That will be an issue for Spotty: it won't run on XP... I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do next. ANY help would be appreciated - thanks! [SlimDevices: Touch] Spotify times out on Squeezebox
Just this week, no matter what I do, I get an error message telling me that Spotify timed out trying to connect. I tried rebooting my laptop and the Squeezebox multiple times. No change. I reran the software update. Same. I reset to factory defaults. No change, either. I can still connect to the music on my hard drive with no problem. Do I need the Spotty app instead? Should I uninstall and reinstall Spotify? I'm running the server on an ancient laptop with Windows XP - is that the issue? I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do next.
