my ubuntu gnome graphics were laggy, so I decided to upgrade my graphics
driver (intel 665GM) drivers. I added ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers and
upgraded my system, now my system is a bit smoother but I face blue
flashes for some time after logging in

1. This affects my machines running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit. It is a
problem with Google account alone - Microsoft Live, Facebook and Twitter
accounts linked are remembered. I too have Google's 2-stage validation
enabled.
2. At the first login in April, I had authorised with Google's two-stage
I confirm Lenzi's workaround. I turned off the Google calendar option
a couple of days ago and I don't have to re-authorize my Google account
anymore.
My Google account is regular (non-business).

I have a Trust SC-5500p USB Sound Card and the same Problem (14.04
64bit).
I even had to set default-sample-channels = 6 in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf
in order to get the rear speakers and Subwoofer working (with 12.04 this

Dear Pascal,
the problems began when I did the fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit
in April, ( a fresh install rather than an upgrade). There are some
large log files which record that, which I have attached.
I am sure I remember a cups update since that date, which I hoped would

aport reported the exact same bug for me. I figure my problem is
related where I end-up switching back and forth from one wifi to another
possibly due to the networkmanager crashing and crashing...

Thanks. Those files show that you are using the proprietary fglrx
drivers, as you stated in your last post. I can't see why it's failing,
but there's not much we can do about fglrx anyway. Do you have a dmesg

you are trying to run WiFi Radar along with NetworkManager, that is

Thomas, are you sure it is the same crash? The signal 5 is fairly
generic and can be caused by different crashes as well. The only way to

available and seem to function normally. I've tried the following
solutions; none have restored my clock to the unity panel.
