I forced to downgrade the nvidia driver
from 304.132-0ubuntu0.16.04.2 (xenial updates)
to 304.131-0ubuntu3 (xenial)
Now my genymotion works again, the bug's away.
And I'm sorry: I'm on Ubuntu Studio 16.04, not 16.10

It happens to me after recent updates in 16.04 LTS. On boot I get an IP
from the DHCP server, all is well, but the IP is dropped after a while,
without complaint from network manager applet which still shows like the
network is connected. Unplugging and plugging the ethernet cable solves
the
Argh... after reading the above (yeh, I know...) I went into the
accounts settings and put my credentials in there, then returning to the
updates page I could request the updates only to be hit by a 401
UNAUTHORIZED error.
