@Robie The ntpdate command has a test mode that does not attempt to set the clock, which the sntp command lacks. I've confirmed on multiple systems that the installation of ntpdate prevents ntp from starting on boot, which IMO is worthy of fixing. ** Changed in: ntp (Ubuntu Xenial)
