suppressed the automatic restart of NetworkManager. At the time, I
figured it was better for users to not temporarily lose network

during the upgrade if Firefox is running (regardless of whether the
desktop is Lubuntu). It's recommended to not run other apps during the
upgrade. In this case, restarting Firefox is usually enough to fix the

I don't want to re-enable this feature until there is a GUI way to turn
it off either altogether or for a particular network. It's nice that it
works in most places but there are still cases where a user may want to
disable it for themselves.

I don't know how to reproduce this issue with a new Ubuntu 23.04 install
(using American English).
By the way, the issue still exists with glib 2.75.4-1 (currently in
Debian Experimental and not in Ubuntu yet).

Ubuntu's network-manager package includes several autopkgtest. (Debian's
network-manager package does not have any autopkgtests.)
One of those, nm.py needs to be updated for changes in the new network-
manager 1.42 series.
