seconds from the point that it receives a signal that it's being

That's interesting, I couldn't reproduce this yesterday but thanks to
your comment I realized it might be because I was testing with the
device connected to USB (and thus charging). The wakelocks behave
differently in this situation. I'll try to reproduce again.

gets from the hardware video decoder using GStreamer. Basically it needs

1.x and then get it upstreamed. I already have most of it ported, but
not all of it. It's submitted upstream already, but Digia is not
prioritizing any engineering time to finish this up, so it will be up to

This is an interesting bug because the system state request seen in
powerd has to do with keeping the device from going into a deep sleep,
but it shouldn't affect the input state of the device because it's not a
display wakelock. This might possibly be an issue at a lower layer even
under powerd.

This should no longer apply since the file permissions on the pipe are
restrictive enough. An app would have to be in the android_media group
or run as a user by the same name to be able to open the pipe. Currently
the only two things that can do that right now are qtubuntu-camera and
