I noticed when a USB wifi dongle is plugged in and I disconnect the
builtin one (Ubuntu 16.10), that resolving of DNS didn't work anymore.
I could ping for example google.nl on IP, but not resolve the name.

This is a huge issue and restarting systemd-resolved did NOT fix my problem.
Also, we should not have workarounds, we should have an Ubuntu desktop that:
- works out of the box at installation: both 16.04 AND 16.10
- works BEFORE and AFTER an U

A fix would be something that avoids the problem from emerging in the first
place.
If stopping systemd-resolvd is a solution, that let's make sure it is NOT
enabled nor installed in 17.04 by default and let's FIX it to be the same in
16.10 if possible.

just wanted to note that 2.4 seems broken, at least in Fedora for some setups
of wireless networks:

a fix in 14.04 seems reasonable, maybe by upgrading to 2.3 if possible.

Looks like NetworkManager is having issues getting the user's VPN
password from gnome-key-daemon. I've posted a workaround at

still requiring lxc-1.1.2.

Randomly, after ubuntu boots, I am losing the mouse. Sometimes I need to reboot

Is there a global way to disable that thing other than "apt-get purge" ?
I don't want my CPU to be hogged every time I plug a removable drive.
Please stop blindly abusing our resources without giving us a way to escape
from it, pretty please.
