Out of 90-somethign users this bug only seems to affect one user. (Of
course, that user happens to be one of my bosses...) Because the
problem is hard to reproduce I have a feeling that it'lll be difficult
to track down and fix.

Hello,
I saw this bug seems to be fixed and released on September 17, anybody knows in
which repository this fix has been released? Is this in trusty-proposed

How will we know if this fix has been released in the Trusty stable repository?
Is this when Unity 7.2.4 will be released?
I have this problem but can access the desktop using SSH. Is there a

I would like to know the answer to that as well. Back in the good 'ol
days the screen lock was a separate process, and pkill -9
gnome-screensaver would bring back the desktop. But now...? There is
a process called /usr/lib/unity/unity-panel-service --lockscreen-mode,

I have a workaround for this, use Gnome instead of Unity.
It took me a while to realize/figure out that it's pretty painless to

Hi,
I saw this bug seems to be fixed and committed on September 17. I am wondering
if the time span before it reaches Software Updater will be in the order of
days, weeks or months. Is it worth waiting or is it better to install Marco's
PPA version?
Thank you for all the hard work!

Hi Giampiero,
Unfortunately the fix for Trusty will need some weeks in order to be
available, because we're still in the verification phase of the previous
Unity SRU that needs to go in, before we prepare a new one (you can help
to speed up things by verifying the relevant bugs¹, BTW)

I experience this issue on a single-screen environment; however, we
