I haven't been able to reproduce this myself on boot (only by manually
stopping unity8), I notice there was also a bug logged at the same time
for unity8 crashes here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity8/+bug/1473471
Does this only occur when unity8 crashes? If so that'd explain why
Looking at the dump it seems maliit is aborting because Mir isn't ready
yet, so it sounds like the start up scripts need modifying so that
maliit-server isn't started until Mir is accepting connections.
