The Mir performance regression Timo refers to is bug 1563287 / bug
1550371, fixed in OTA-11 (or any image with Mir 0.22 like rc-proposed).

+ Web Browser performance/behaviour regression opening a new tab OTA-9
I'm running rc-proposed + silo 19 ie all Mir fixes and it seems similar
to before on webbrowser-app. So it would not seem this is related to the
Mir regressions (which seem fixed with rc-proposed + silo 19).

I think, these are two different issues. The original bug was about tab
performance in the browser when opening a new tab which seems
considerably slower in OTA-10 then before. The same goes for closing a
tab which takes quite long on a loaded web page but not for the new tab
page.
This could be
don't think this is browser specific. Sounds like the Mir bug that
regressed performance across all apps.

My MX4 is twice as slow as the E4.5 here (E is less than a sec and seems
fine, mx4 is close to 2 secs), neither has much tab history.

I confirm, it's not only the browser. Switching between apps is laggy,
even when only one is opened on my BQ e5.

It is not just webbrowser, the general performance of the device went
visibly down, all operations have very visible lag or stuttering, incl
browser, music player, maps, all scopes, unity/app switcher.

Iโm seeing the same performance issue on arale. That device is used for
testing and Iย wipe it regularly, it has a very small history database
(~20 entries) and yet it clearly exposes the problem, so itโs not a
matter of inefficient history model as I initially suspected.

I can confirm the delay in showing the new tab page, although Iโm not
sure whether itโs a regression or has always been like that. Iย use the
E4.5 as my only phone but itโs running rc-proposed.
