I think it might be possible for any user to see their own automatic
crash reports, but the process is a little obfuscated.
If you're using Unity then you can open:
System Settings >
Security & Privacy >
Diagnostics >
Show Previous Reports

Every day I am telling users "Please start by applying the workaround
for bug 994921". Without that, we have bug reports describing crashes
but no stack traces. So bugs would stay open indefinitely.
