I just tested, but so far only three times.
1st time: Screen came on after 17s showing the "turn off / restart /
cancel" dialogue box. This, incidentally, is something I often get when
switching on the screen.
2nd time: Screen came on normally after 15s.
3rd time: Screen came on
I upgraded to Kubuntu 15.10 (from 15.04) three days ago and have been
running my laptop constantly since, without this problem cropping up
once, where it would happen at least once a day with 15.04.

I have a fix, but I will want to run it by upstream before we apply it
to be sure we aren't opening up any security issues. In the meantime
I've put up a test build, please give it a try and verify that the uuid-
runtime upgrade can be successfully installed.
This doesn't look like a scopes-api problem. DpkgTerminalLog.txt seems
to indicate click.

I have the following sata devices:
/dev/sr0 DVD
/dev/sda Old250
/dev/sdb OS install disk with EFI,Boot,root,Home
/dev/sdc1 MyBook external USB hard disk
If /dev/sdc is unplugged Ubuntu does not boot to UI - OS disk is at
/dev/sdb as it should be, partitions are
binutils 2.25.51.20151022-0ubuntu3 has been uploaded with an upstream
fix for this issue. However, while it fixed the qtmir autopkgtest
(http://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/packages/q/qtmir/xenial/i386/), the
fwupdate package is still failing to build
Setting "Save session for future logins" in the logout dialog did not change
anything.
Still 1920x1080 desktop.
