Setup lightdm on Ubuntu 16.04 s390x GA. Successfully updated software. Changed
lightdm.conf to use the AlwaysShared option so that I could share a VNC
session. This did not work.

Forgot to mention: "Enable Wi-Fi" doesn't have the checkmark after
resuming. If I click on it, the connection is reestablished

Just upgraded to 16.04 from 14.10 and have the same problem - after
suspending and resuming, Ubuntu doesn't reconnect. This regression is
pretty annoying and should be listed in the known issues before
prompting the user to upgrade.

Just to confirm that had exactly the same problem, and had Sophos Ant-virus
installed and running. I uninstalled SophosAV, and the process of upgrading
LibreOffice --stuck at the Libreoffice-common-- worked perfectly.

I had a look at what is required for libunity-webapps and it just
appears to be using geoclue to work out what country you are in to show
the appropriate Amazon store. Since Geoclue 2.0 doesn't provide this (it
just gives a co-ordinate) the easiest solution is to make libunity-
webapps contact
I suspect that this was caused by hardware problems.
