booted into the new kernel, got super low resolution and nvidia-settings
was missing most of its functionality - could not change resolution.
Rebooted into 4.4.0-112 kernel and all was well.

/etc/resolv.conf in 16.04 is managed via resolvconf through
/etc/network/interfaces.
/etc/resolv.conf in 18.04 is managed via systemd-resolve (netplan ->

resolv.conf that's a local address.
Resolv.conf should really be
pyrfc3339 looks good and straightforward to me; MIR approved.
