I also have this problem on a Macbook 1,1. Substituting ffmpegcolorspace
by videoscale gives the same results. According to the Ubuntu Bugtracker
this is a kernel bug:

when installating and creating a raid 1 with lvm cache etc, system fails
to boot due to missing /usr/sbin/cache_check reports lvm2-pvscan@, fixes
itself after installing the package thin-provisioning-tools
Larry's solution works, but the downside is the laptop's internal
headphone/mic jacks and speaker is still muted when you undock it,
unless you switch back to Analog Stereo duplex manually. This was tested
with xubuntu 16.04 (x86) on a Dell D620 (Sigmatel Audio). Has anyone
found a solution to let
