Hi. Sorry, I understand you have a process, but ... the ubuntu-bug tool
is broken/annoying/collecting info that I don't wanna disclose and I
always uninstall apport. Moreover, I've already downgraded all relevant
PA packages from 1:13.99.1-1ubuntu3.7 to 1:11.1-1ubuntu7.10, since the

this. Which alsa to select ?
alsa-lib and alsa-driver are not installed.
This command gives "*alsa*" installed on my computer.

I ran in to this with Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS when using wired connection. I
turned off Wi-Fi now so I hope that fixes it (as I use wired on this
system). It was taking 25% of CPU time as shown with htop. I shutdown
the service (sudo service wpa_supplicant stop) and then disabled Wi-Fi.

I have verified that the date is indeed the problem. When I run an
ubuntu container privileged, the container has the correct date and apt
update succeeds. But when I run the container privileged and set the
date to 1971, then I get that same error message from apt update.

We figured it was not a pulse problem but with alsa since upgrade of
libasound.
solution: switch back to older versions.
sudo apt install libasound2=1.2.2-2.1 libasound2-data=1.2.2-2.1
