Thanks, I'll take this up with Folding@home as I downloaded FAHControl
directly from their web site.
I forgot to mention that there are reports from people who were running
FAHControl on Ubuntu 15.10 and when they upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04 it
still ran normally. I did a clean install of Ubuntu

I ran an upgrade package from terminal mode in 14.04.2. i am now at
14.04.5 but GUI does not work. my system is 7 years old and started with
ubuntu 9.1. system works in 14.04.5 in terminal mode. ctrl-alt-f7 makes
the screen go black. i think i have no drivers for the

When using libreoffice gradients show up fine in edit mode, but not in the
slide show. I have tried downgrading to libreoffice 5.1 using the debs on the
libreoffice official website but to no avail. Sometimes the gradients show up

windows has probably not changed from the earlier models. In my case I

dns appears to be ok, it's just not working
for example, one can do:
nmcli d show | grep DNS
IP4.DNS[1]: 192.168.1.15
the Network Manager-provided dnsmasq is just not using that dns server
that network manager knows about.

dns fails on relaunch of the interface
test dns:

verify that Internet is available:

I've tested Clonezilla's Alternative Stable branch (Yakkety-based), and
its Alternative Testing branch (Zesty-based) and the bug is squashed on
both platforms. It would be nice if someone could test Trusty as well.

I get you what you say. But there is a distinction between (manually)
upgradeable packages and packages that will be upgraded (automatically).
I'm not going to decide whether the status is Opinion, Won't Fix, or
Triaged, as I'm not entirely sure what we really want to do.

Same issue, no microphone detected on Acer VN7-792G - Ubuntu 16.10. I
tried the options given above and it still doesn't work.

thingy to display.
Solved with a lets encrypt certificate.
